Walker Edison, a manufacturer known for their quality furniture, is now offering a complete line of versatile flat-panel TV stands. They are called 4-in-1 stands because they allow you a choice of four set-up options: you can have a

flat-panel TV mounted on the stand, you can mount a flat-panel TV to the wall and use the stand for your audio/visual equipment below the TV, you can use the stand for a traditional TV or you can use the wall mount for a flat-panel TV in one location and the stand in another location.
The versatility that these stands offer makes them a great choice for many people and a variety of situations. For instance, if you currently have a standard television but are thinking of purchasing a flat-panel TV, this type of stand would be a good choice. A TV stand like this would also be great for anyone who sometimes re-arranges their furniture or those who may be moving sometime in the not-too-distant future and are not sure of the set-up options in the new home.

These TV stands are available in several styles to match your décor. Each style is offered in two sizes: 40 inch and 60 inch. The 40-inch models will support up to 42 inch televisions on the stand and up to 52” when the mount is attached to a wall. The 60 inch models will accommodate most flat-panel TVs up to 52″, while the wall

mounting is able to support flat panels up to 65″. All wall mounts can tilt up and down 15 degrees and pivot left and right to provide the perfect viewing angle.
Even if you don’t presently have a need for this type of stand, it could still be a good choice since it will provide you with options in the future.
I have been having trouble finding the right entertainment center for almost a year now. I have a 26 inch TV, a DVR, a DVD player, a PS2 along with some PS2 games and DVDs to store. My other furniture is light-colored wood, but that’s not real important. I have limited space in my room so it can’t be too big, but big enough to store everything that I listed above. Could anyone suggest an entertainment center that fits that description? Thank you very much.
I bought a coffee table but I didn’t really like the matching tv stand. I found another tv stand that I really like and it has the same dark wood finish. The problem is, it doesn’t have the same type of hardware and it’s a little bit different in its’ style. Is that a big deal, or should they match perfectly?
When shopping for a flat panel TV or a flat panel TV mount you may see the term VESA somewhere in the description. VESA stands for Video Electronics Standards Association. VESA sets standards for things like video connections to ensure compatibility between components. They have also established a standard for TV mounting to make it easier for consumers to match TVs to mounts.
The televisions and mounts that meet VESA standards have four metric screws in either a square or rectangular pattern. The configurations are usually referred to by the distance between the mounting holes in millimeters. A few examples are; 200 X 200, 400 X 400, 600 X 400 and 800 X 400.
The VESA standards also dictate the diameter and length of screws that are used. In other words, all TVs and mounts with a 400 X 400 mounting pattern will use the same size screws and will work together. The screws are usually supplied with the mount but they will also be supplied with the TV if the TV includes any type of table-top support or bracket.
Many TV wall mounts and TV stands with mounts attached can be adjusted to fit a range of mounting patterns. This is a very good feature if you think you may get a different TV in the near future or if you have more than one TV which you may want to move around.
The VESA standardization makes it easy to match a TV to a mount. By checking that both are VESA compliant and have the same mounting pattern, you can be sure that your TV will attach to the mount without any problems.
I would like to add doors to my freestanding tv cabinet. Due to space constraints, I’d love to have doors that open, then slide back and tuck flat against the sides of the cabinet. I’ve heard of ‘flipper’ doors and I’ve looked at the hardware, but my tv cabinet doesn’t have ‘pockets’ where the hinges can be attached. Is there any way to get sliding doors for my tv cabinet without building pockets on the sides of my existing cabinet?
I have been looking at lcd tv stands and I found one that I really like. It says it’s made of tubular metal with a gloss black finish. What is this metal and is it any good? Is this durable metal? Is it cheap or expensive, heavy or light, sturdy or flimsy, etc. I will be buying the tv stand online and I just want to be sure that I wont be disappointed.
I broke one of the shelves on my glass TV stand and now I’m looking for a replacement. It’s a Bello stand so I called their customer service but they said they don’t sell any replacement parts. Any ideas? I really don’t want to buy another stand.
We are trying to get rid of some clutter in our house so we decided to get rid of our TV console. We would like to get a wall mount for our 32″ LCD TV. We called a friend who knows how to install TV mounts safely and correctly but we aren’t sure that our wall is strong enough to support the weight. I’ve pulled some nails out of the wall and a grain-like texture falls out of the hole, so I don’t know if that’s safe for a TV mount. What kind of wall is this and will it be able to support the TV and the TV wall mount?
I have mostly antique type furniture in my living room. They are not real antiques but the wood items all have fancy carvings like antiques have. I need a tv stand but I haven’t been able to find one that fits. I don’t have enough room for an entertainment center. I thought about using a table but I would need shelves underneath for all the accessories. I found a glass tv stand that I really like, but I’m not sure how it’s going to look with the other furniture. Do you think a modern glass tv stand will look too out of place?
I have an entertainment center but my TV does not fit in the opening that’s made for a TV so I have it on top. What can I put inside of that large opening so it doesn’t look so awkward and bare?
Hide your flat panel TV when not in use. Having the ability to retract your television into the cabinet with the push of a button can be ideal for many locations throughout your home. Most will accommodate LCD or plasma TVs in a wide range of sizes along with the necessary electronics (DVD player, cable box, etc…).
Hi,
I have lived in an apartment complex for going on 3 years now. The staff is great, but I am really not sure they took care of a problem that occurred a year ago and was hoping for some advice
There was a pretty bad rainstorm last May, and my apartment is near the edge of a pond (about 5 ft. away from my porch and the water is normally 2 ft lower than my porch) it flooded and for a short time was all the way up to my back porch. After the water receded, my carpet near that wall was soaking wet! That is also where I have my wood TV stand. At first I thought my dog had had an accident, so I cleaned it up with my steam cleaner, but the wet spot was back in less than an hour! I informed the office, and I am guessing that we were not the only apartment that had some form of damage because it took maintenance 3 days to come by. When they finally came to repair, they brought their own steam cleaner and cleaned the mildew like spot where my TV stand had been (exactly what I had been doing!) then they left. There is still a mildew spot on the carpet…no biggie I can get over it as long as they don’t dock my security deposit.
But my real concern is there was another rainstorm yesterday and now that spot is wet again. My TV stand is there and I have two bookcases (books didn’t get damaged), but the bookcases will likely crumble at the bottom if moved just like my TV stand last year. I really didn’t expect this to happen again and my apartment isn’t big enough for me to move these items to a different location.
Anyway, I was about to go tell the office that it is leaking again but I was wondering what I should ask them to do to repair this issue? I am really lost but I don’t want them to just steam clean the carpet and wait for it to happen again!
Thank you for your advice.
My entertainment center measures 26 7/8" by 60 7/8" on the top with two lower shelfs measuring 11 7/8" by 60 7/8". I’m using simple corner guards for trim. I want them to fit together at 45 degree angles. I’ve tried twice before and the pieces were too short ( I didn’t compensate for the trim’s thickness) in one or both dimensions.
I’m thinking about repainting my walls but I’m not sure what color. I have a glass desk with aluminum stands and a similar glass TV stand. Also, any suggestions for what color couch I should get? Thanks.
I’m not sure what this is called. It is more vertical than horizontal. It has many smallish compartments and drawers down below. A small T.V. just barely fits into the biggest space. Is this piece of furniture called a home entertainment center? It looks more like a dresser. What is another word for it?
I need some good ideas to decorate a studio without making it seem smaller or too cluttered. I have a wood desk, a wood tv stand, a black side table, an antique-style bedside table, and a black office chair that reclines. What touches can I make?
I’m moving and the new living room has a propane space heater built into the wall right near where I want to put the TV. It doesn’t take up the whole wall but I’m wondering about how far away from it should I place the TV and TV stand for it to be safe and not ruin the TV.
We have a beautiful new entertainment center with pedestals on each side of the TV, which have two glass shelves, and glass doors encasing it. I am trying to find good ideas for decorating, like what to put on the shelves, as well as on top of the whole unit.
I would like to make my room look more modern and contemporary. It is kind of a small bedroom (12×16) but I want it to look more modern. Can someone tell me some ways to achieve this? Currently I have a wood dresser (planning to paint it black and add stainless steel curved handles), a glass TV stand, and a beat up looking futon, ugly brown carpet (with damaged wood floors underneath) and my walls are a sea-foam green. What can I add to change this room? What colors should I use and what accessories? Also I would appreciate it if someone had some links to cheap modern looking furniture (like stuff at Smartfurniture.com, but affordable lol). Thanks
I was trying to put together a TV stand and I put a short little wooden dowel into the wrong hole and now I can’t get it to come out. The hole is bigger than the dowel but it is down in there and I can’t get it out, not even with tweezers.
I have a rather large entertainment center. It has the 2 sides and then the TV stand in the middle. The top looks rather bare and I was thinking of putting a plant of some sort on the top. It can’t be too heavy as I don’t want it falling through! And would need to be easy to maintain. Would prefer something that would grow the length of the top of the entertainment center. I thought of ivy, but I had some and it died rather quickly. I did also have a philadendron on the top but it didn’t fare to well either. It’s still alive but prefers more light than it was getting. Any suggestions? Thanks!
We have recently bought a 32" wide screen TV on a silver stand with glass shelf. There are holes at the rear of the stand (which is open plan) for the cables to go through, but because it is open plan at the back you can see the cables on the floor behind the TV. I know you can get a tower power supply which will help but what about all the scart leads from the TV, DVD player, DVD recorder & cable box? HELP!!
I found this lattice TV stand and I really want it but I’d rather not pay the $1,600 they’re charging on this site. I’m hoping to find one for less than $1,200. Let me know of a website if you see this one or something similar. Thanks!
I just bought a second hand white leather sofa, modern design with stainless steel legs.
I don’t have a theme to my living room yet, but I like a modern, clean-cut, not too fussy style but a bit warm as well.
What would you suggest for the rest of the furniture in the room as in color : two chairs, coffee table and TV stand.
I have white walls for now, but open to something different – all suggestions are welcome
I have a particle board entertainment center that I got from Ikea. When I got it all my furniture was Beech veneer. The light color with a wood grain look.
Well now all my furniture is much much darker, but I haven’t found an entertainment center that I like as much as this one.
Is there anyway to dye or paint this to a darker color but still keep some of the wood grain?
www.plasmatvvslcdtv.info Even though plasma TVs are larger than most of the box sets that you have had in the past, the stands for them tend to be smaller. What is great is that most of them have a very updated look, so that old entertainment center look is easily updated with something more stylish. When you look at plasma TV stands, you have more of a variety from which to choose than you may think. There are some great ones out there and it is easy to find something that will work well within your current decor.
